After the 3-Day high level training programme on colour management titled: ‘Standardisation in Modern World’, participants – who are now equipped with standard colour knowledge – have confirmed their companies readiness for ISO Certification.
Held in Johannesburg, South Africa from 8th to 10th of July 2014, pre-press and press managers from major Nigeria printing companies were trained on the following topics: Introduction to ICC Colour Management; ICC Colour Management in Applications – General Rules; Calibrate, Profile and Validate a Monitor; and Softproofing and Viewing Conditions. The other topics they were trained on include; Profiling of a Digital CMYK Printer; ICC based printing and proofprinting on a CMYK Printer; Validation of a Proof; Measurement Conditions M0, M1, M2 (ISO 13655); Press Control and Print Check; Quality Control during Print Run; and How to achieve ISO Certification for your Press – Standardization and Certification, among others.
The colour management training was coordinated by Dr. Maxim Siniak – International Technical Support, Application Expert from X-Rite headquarters in Switzerland and facilitated by Dorin Pitigoi who was supported by X-Rite South Africa representative – Digital View’s Laura Minter.
