Not only that, the skepticisms of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) have changed to tactical strategies that enable them to regain larger share of Africa’s biggest economy. More than ever before, major OEMs are now venturing into Nigeria with renewed commitments and alternative offerings. One of such is FUJIFILM.  WHERE To Print magazine was privileged to visit Fujifilm HQ in Europe and experience live one of Fujifilm’s four plate manufacturing facilities in the world – the 63 hectares facility in Tilburg, the Netherlands that is a fully automated 24/7 to deliver world-class printing plates. Check out our findings on pages 28 and 30. During the visit, Fujifilm Senior Vice President, Graphic Systems Division (whose responsibility includes the African region) – Mr. Takashi Yanagawa also disclosed in an Exclusive Interview Fujifilm’s plans for the graphics industry in Nigeria. Read the excerpts on pages 24, 25 and 26.

Other OEM representative that is offering alternative is ECRM and CRON authorised dealer in Nigeria – El-Kran Imaging Systems LTD. We had SPECIAL INTERVIEW session with El-Kran boss – Prince Kelly Aremu where his company offering is explained on pages 34 and 35 captioned: ‘WHAT MAKES CTcP TO BE IN VOGUE IS THE LOWER COST OF PRODUCTION’. Check out other interview on our SMART PRINT CELEBRITY page 40 where we spoke with the Senior Manager – Manpower Development, Nigerian Security Printing And Minting PLC – Alhaji Abbas Datti Muhammad who is also confident that any print investor making any investment decision will definitely reap the reward of their investment. Read what he meant by ‘THE BENEFITS FOR THOSE WHO INVESTED IN TECHNOLOGY AND CAPACITY WILL SURELY ACCRUE IN FUTURE‘.

As we get ready for the leading event for commercial and package printers in the Middle East and North Africa region – GULF PRINT & PACK 2015, check out our PRE-SHOW REVIEW (on page 31 and 32) of what you stand to gain by attending the event that start from 13th to 16th April 2015 in Dubai, UAE. And if you’ll be in Nigeria from 28th to 30th April, 2015 – don’t forget to attend the 1st International Trade Show on Plastics, Printing & Packaging Solutions and Material – PLASTPRINTPACK NIGERIA 2015 at Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island Lagos.

As I use this medium to specially thank FUJIFILM Team for their wonderful reception throughout my four-day stay in 3 countries (Belgium, Germany, and The Netherland!) in Europe, I urge you to vote for better and brighter future with tremendous opportunities. And do have a lovely rest during the Easter Celebrations!

Keep doing good!

Best regards
