A brilliant idea, a market niche or a passion which has the makings of so much more — the promotional products industry believes that products and services that enrich, reinforce or expand the market deserve a proper debut. At PSI in January 2016, the sector is celebrating not only the beginning of the new year in promotional products, but also the premières of a total of 50 new promotional products themselves. These have never been shown before and will be introduced exclusively to the market at PSI 2016, which takes place from 13–15 January in Düsseldorf.
“Our company is very proud to be attending PSI FIRST. It is something special for us to be among the 50 participants”, said Dagmar Kornhaas, Managing Director of MAXX Factory. “With our new PSI innovation we are staying true to the theme of “sustainability” by introducing a new material to the industry which has an unimaginable range of application areas. This means we are presenting not just a product but also a completely new material and are already looking forward to the ‘Ooohs’ and ‘Aaahs’ of our visitors.”
Tastefully — and in a diverse and, if desired, very individual way — we come to our next PSI FIRST participant, 5 CUPS and some sugar. The Berlin online tea maker is attending the fair for the first time. The company’s vision is to create and individually package customers’ favourite teas from more than 50 high-quality ingredients. “PSI 2016 is a great opportunity for us to meet new customers from the advertising industry. We are particularly pleased to have the chance to win a PSI FIRST award this year. For the award we have meticulously designed a totally hip innovation for the world of tea. We are really excited to see what the PSI visitors make of our brand new “hipster product”. Scooping the People’s Choice Award with our innovation would be the greatest thing for us…we can hardly wait!” explains Eike Pazulla, founder of 5 CUPS.
The next PSI FIRST participant is an expert when it comes to bags and the like. Over twenty years ago, HALFAR® System from Bielefeld invented a functional bag for paramedics. This was followed by other bags which today solve technical problems and also fulfil advertising needs. “We find that PSI FIRST is a very good initiative by PSI which enables participants to draw more attention to innovative products. It is important for us to direct communicative ideas to certain products and the PSI FIRST campaign provides the perfect stage for us!” says Peter Leseberg, Marketing and Sales at HALFAR. As for his company’s new product, he reveals the following: “The new innovation we will present is a stylish development of an otherwise rather classical backpack form. We think visitors to PSI will find it exciting.”
Ritter-Pen is also one of the 50 members of the PSI FIRST Club. Since its beginnings, the company has responded flexibly to the needs of the market — even if this entails a complete change of direction.
Having started in 1928 with the production of wooden boxes, the firm became a manufacturing plant for ballpoint pens twenty years later. Alongside injection moulding, tooling, assembly and printing, its core competencies naturally also include the continuous development of writing instruments. In January 2016, Ritter-Pen will once again show that there are many opportunities for innovation in this area.
Also attending with innovations for the promotional products industry are companies such as TITAN Hamburg, Anda Present from Hungary and team-d Import-Export from Schorndorf. TROIKA will also present a new product. The company from Müschenbach in Rheinland-Pfalz specialises in products for men as well as useful items for travel and the desk. Their concept is exceptional, innovative, customised and characterised by high-quality execution.
The next participant’s product range is not only innovative, but also delicious. The most popular give-aways by JUNG BONBONFABRIK are sweets, jelly babies and peppermint. The company from Vaihingen / Enz has been active in the industry since 1828, and their delicious promotional messages have taken a wide variety of forms and colours throughout this period, from funny sayings to goodies wrapped in appealing packaging. PSI visitors should be excited to find out what JUNG BONBONFABRIK will bring to PSI this time around.
Some advertising messages simply work better in china. Porcelain specialist MAHLWERCK from Kolbenmoor would be inclined to agree. The premium manufacturer of printed porcelain produces promotional mugs, promotional cups and high-grade coffee-to-go cups of the highest quality using innovative methods for printing, engraving and glazing. MAHLWERCK will also join the PSI FIRST Club.
