Members of the public particularly politicians as well as their political parties have been warned by the Oyo State Signage and Advertising Agency (OYSAA) to desist from defacing the State with indiscriminate pasting of their electoral posters, bills and fliers on walls and monuments across the State.
In a release signed by Adebayo Fabiyi – OYSAA Press Officer and made available to WHERE To Print, the Director General of Oyo State Signage and Advertising Agency (OYSAA) – Dr. Yinka Adepoju expressed his unhappiness about the uncivilized manner in which the State has been defaced with illegal posters which has led to waste of manpower and resources by the Agency in removing such posters. He however stressed that OYSAA was not placing a ban on pasting posters but rather requested stakeholders to follow due process as stipulated in the agency’s poster pasting policy.
“OYSAA is not perturbed about who is involved, political party that is affected and whatsoever organisation or group associated. All we are preaching is that this act of indiscriminate and unregulated pasting of posters across the State constitutes nuisance and serious embarrassment to the aesthetic beauty of our environment. From this moment onward, whoever is caught in the act will not go unpunished”, the OYSAA boss affirmed.
OYSAA enjoined any member of the public that do not understand its Poster Pasting Policy to visit the Mediation Centre Office of the Agency at the State Ministry of Justice for further information or clarification.
