In its bid to grow print business in the country, Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON) has signify its intention to participate and work with other allied print bodies in Africa at this year’s FESPA Africa/ Africa Print 2015 exhibitions and the International Printing SA Africa Conference taking place at the Gallagher Convention Centre, 22 – 23 July 2015 with the theme: The Future of Print in Africa.
According to its President/ Chairman-In-Council, Mr. Wahab A. O. Muhammed Lawal who spoke after presentation by Publisher of WHERE To Print magazine – Mr. Joju Adekanbi at the Institute’s secretariat, the need to improve human capacity development of Nigerian printers and to collaborate with world renowned printing bodies and institutions to aid print business growth are some of the reasons CIPPON will be participating at both the international exhibition and conference. To Muhammed Lawal, “print business has evolved over the years. We can only meet up with print dynamics and progress with regular human capacity development and collaborations with relevant authorities’, stressing further that CIPPON would work to ensure more participants from Nigeria attend the fair and training in South Africa being packaged by NUMBERS CMYK LTD publishers of WHERE To Print magazine.
It would be recalled that NUMBERS CMYK LTD, Practical Publishing PTY (organiser of FESPA Africa and allied shows), and Printing, SA (South Africa’s print and allied regulatory body) are working together to make this year’s FESPA Africa the most rewarding ever. NUMBERS CMYK LTD will package Nigeria VIP Delegation to both the shows and the Print Management Training Programme to be held before the show at Printing SA Training Facility in Johannesburg, while the printing communities on the African Continent are to sign series of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Printing, SA during the international conference to be held alongside FESPA Africa and Africa Print 2015. Consequently, Nigeria, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe and host South Africa will collaborate on capacity building, networking and coordinated partnerships on global issues and challenges.
