Industry regulatory body – Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON), has concluded plans to organise a one-day Mandatory Professional Programme with the theme: ‘Printing Regulation – A Vehicle for National Development’.
According to a release made available to WHERE To Print magazine, the seminar which will come up on the 23rd of September 2014 at Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja will enable participants revisit the problems bedeviling the Nigeria printing industry by preferring practical, time-tested solutions from seasoned and professional experts in press management, finance and print business accounting in a series of topics such as Effective Press Management, Measures Against Piracy and Quackery in Printing, Effects of Capital Flight, as well as Compliance with Printers Act.
The seminar is open to government printers, head of presses/ production managers, managers and other professional printers and will also serve as a unique opportunity for Printers and allied Professionals to deliberate on topics such as: Non-return On Investment in Print Business; No Incentive/ Supportive Measures for Employers of Labour in Printing; Professional Trust among Printers; and Professional Relationships between Printers and Allied Bodies such as Paper Dealers, Printing Machine Engineers, Dealers in Printing Machines and Consumables.
