The Ikeja Chapter of Association of Professional Printers of Nigeria (ASSPPON) an affiliate body of Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON) has put necessary arrangement in place to inaugurate the pioneer elected Executive Members of the body in November 2014.
Speaking recently with the duo of Pius Babaleye, the Interim Coordinator of the Association and Gbenga Balogun an Executive Member, WHERE To Print gathered that the association which is barely eight months old with notable achievements will be inaugurating its pioneer executives to ensure stability and growth of the association and its members in the coming year.
Speaking further on the plans of the association for its members, Babaleye said a co-operative system will be put in place to give financial aid to ASSPPON members to finance print jobs that are beyond their budgets. He also said efforts are in place to sanitize Ikeja printing environs and ensure only professional printers are patronised by print buyers to guide against activities of piracy and quacks. He however said the major challenge bedeviling the association was the drive to get members (to) understand the nitty-gritty of the printing industry amidst other economic challenges affecting the nation.
