One of the notable and result-oriented offset printers in Nigeria whose services ranges from printing of calendars, annual reports, publishing, light packaging and labels – Gazub Prints Limited, affirms that the only means of assuring growth of any printing press is the capacity to embrace and adopt relevant change especially in modern printing technology.
Okpani Azubuike, Chief Executive Officer of Gazub Prints Limited – in a recent chat with WHERE To Print magazine in his Lagos office, noted further that the spontaneous growth his company enjoys today boil down to the acquisition of relevant new printing technologies and constant development programmes he makes available for his staff. He enjoins Nigeria print entrepreneurs to embrace new technology, which he noted was the only panacea to quick, efficient, stress free and quality print output.
Speaking further, he said that some of the greatest challenges bedeviling the industry are power generation and supply and print investors’ inability to manage an average Nigerian youth whose lackadaisical attitude to work makes printing jobs more strenuous to investors in the industry.
According to him, “they are not ready to gain knowledge; all they are after is making money at the expense of their bosses. This has posed a big challenge to us over the years and it has stressed us beyond our limit, even to the extent of doing jobs we are not suppose to do,” he stressed calling on stakeholders to come together with one voice and mitigate the challenges.
