In a bid to provide its numerous clients with quality and efficient print services, Alpha Press Nigeria Limited recently upgrade his press by installing state-of-the-art Agfa Avalon B8 computer to plate (CTP) machine.
WHERE To Print gathered that the Avalon B8 technology benefits stem from the fact that the CTP is an affordable solution for high-quality CTP imaging; delivering more jobs in less time. It also has the advantage of easy to control plate production with press stability chemistry-free printing plates thus enabling consistent high-quality imaging results in fewer remakes, saving time and money.
Alpha Press Nigeria Limited Chief Executive Officer – Omopariola Odimayo also noted that the inherent qualities that endeared him to purchase Agfa Avalon B8 CTP amidst other computer to plate machines in the Nigeria printing industry was due to top quality image production from Agfa products – which Agfa have been known for over the years – coupled with local technical support structure they make available to their customers.
To Odimayo, “like I said in my previous interview, I usually pitch my tent with any organization that have the interest of Nigeria printing industry in mind – who also give their full support to the industry and not the other way round. He noted that with the installation of the machine, great improvement has been noticed in his press base on highest image quality in resolution, speed of job turnaround time and overall press efficiency. He added that his clients are now much happier and satisfied with the improved quality of print jobs at affordable cost coming from his press.
In a related development while speaking on the just concluded PROPAK West Africa 2014, Alpha Press boss affirmed that the exhibition would have great economic implication on the Nigeria economy considering the quality of exhibitors with their products on display as well as quality trade visitors that were at the show. This he noted would be an eye-opener to foreign exhibitors to see Nigeria as a big market for their products. “I believe PROPAK West Africa 2014 has achieved the goal of projecting the potentials of Nigeria print and allied market to foreign participation. And majority of us at the exhibition would have made one or two contacts that will in turn have a multiplier effect on the economic growth and development of our nation – Nigeria,” he concluded.
