Yabatech Association of Printing Technology and Publishing Students (APTAPS) has express profound gratitude and appreciation to Heidelberg Nigeria Limited for its unwavering efforts in freely educating them on insightful and technology-driven trainings over the years.
APTAPS President – Mr. Bakare Hammed made this known during one of the lectures organized by Heidelberg recently. Speaking with WHERE To Print, Hammed said the training has exposed them to intricacies of digital printing, application of software and consumables in print production which they do not know existed before hand. He said, ‘with Heidelberg training over the years, my perception about printing technology has improved. They have gone beyond their corporate social responsibility to offer us the best education in printing technology despite the fact that our lecturers don’t have access to go beyond the shores of Nigeria to acquire new knowledge in printing technology. Heidelberg has over the years bridge the gap between us and our counterparts in the other parts of the world by providing us with up to date technology-driven training to help us compete at the international level. And I – as well as my mates – can boldly speak on any aspect of modern printing technology and its operations courtesy of Heidelberg’.
In his response, the Managing Director of Heidelberg Nigeria Limited – Mr. Jakob Bejer enjoins the students to judiciously utilize the knowledge acquired from Heidelberg for them to be better printing professionals in the nearest future. Again, Heidelberg Head of Consumables – Mr. Dayo Fakuade, disclosed that with Heidelberg recent acquisition of Gallus, the students have more options in choosing other careers in printing such as Flexography and with Heidelberg introduction of Van Waterble Wash, operators need to replace the use of Kerosene on the machines with Van Waterble Wash as Kerosene is both dangerous to human health and the printing machine.
