Printing SA, alongside FESPA Africa and Africa Print, host the inaugural Africa Conference at Gallagher Convention Centre on 22 to 23 July 2015.

The landscape of the printing industry has changed over the past two decades making it an intricate terrain to navigate. The line-up of speakers scheduled for the Africa Conference addresses the many facets of the printing and packaging industry giving insights to some of the most topical issues affecting the growth and sustainability of many businesses operating within it.
‘Digital’ has become one of the key buzz words of our times and affects various aspects of our lives. For the printing and packaging industry, it means exhilarating times as the industry changes to rise to the ever evolving needs of its customers. As Professor Frank Roman of RIT stated, “We are in one of the most exciting periods for the printing industry, no matter where you are in the world. Traditional printing processes, call them analogue if you wish, are seeing increased competition from new digital printing processes.”
UK based owner of Cotmandene Training & Development Ltd and regular speaker at shows such as the UPMG and IPIA Conferences, Jo Lloyd, will address the future of digital printing at the Printing SA Africa Conference. With a background as a Sales Director and Company owner, Jo boasts extensive experience in both sheet/web fed litho and digital printing companies, and has worked in the advertising and media fields. In this talk Jo will draw on her own practical experiences, research figures and case studies from around the world to outline how printers can utilise new technology software to add value to their customer offering.
Attendance at the Africa Conference allows one access to FESPA Africa and the Africa Print Expo where the latest technological solutions for wide format digital printing, screen printing, signage, textile printing and garment design will be on show. This is over and above the networking opportunities available with the likes of the IEC’s Senior Manager: Logistics & Infrastructure, Simon Boyle, Deon Joubert who is the Country Manager of Two Sides South Africa and Felleng Yende, CEO of FP & M SETA.
Registration for the Africa Conference is now open and seats are limited. To view details of the full speaker list, available packages and to book your seat visit www.printingsa.org. For more information on FESPA visit www.fespaafrica2015.com.
