In this SPECIAL FEATURE INTERVIEW, WHERE To Print speaks with Mr. Dev Varyani – Chairman of Vista Internatio
nal Limited on the company’s challenges over the past 25 years; how it overcame them and Vista projections for the next 25 years. Below is excerpt:
SIR, CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 25TH ANNIVERSARY – HOW HAS IT BEEN IN THE LAST 25 YEARS?
Thank you. Everything is changing now. In all markets, there are fluctuations. Though Nigeria has peculiar challenges now in relation to oil prices, exchanges rates and the associated ones; what we face now in Nigeria is nothing new. This is because other countries like China, India, Australia and so many other countries have faced the same economic crises and have overcome them. So we believe Nigeria too will get over these challenges as we’ve gotten over our teething problems in the last 25 years of existence.
HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THE PROBLEMS?
All we just need to do is to work together and tighten our belts. Nigeria has a nice future, and with God’s Grace I hope we will continue to prosper.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE NEXT 25 YEARS?
As I said earlier, this is the best time to make a better future. Nigeria is blessed wide range of opportunities and potentials. We need to work together and plan ahead for the future. The future is great!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME SIR
Thank you too.
