Speaking at its digital printing and finishing product demonstration in Lagos, Mr. Aneesh Pai -Director of Business Development for Sharp and Altech SFICO – said the newly introduced machines are powerful, fully integrated solutions for business owners desiring cost-effective and professional print jobs. According to him, “Sharp machine – with its heavy duty productivity booster and multi-function features – incorporates advanced technology, integrated network scanning and flexible configurations that expedites and streamlines workflow. Our machine is ultra-versatile as it offers full suite of paper-feed and quality in-line finishing options such as punching, edge-to-edge printing, full-bleed booklet and variety of fold options”.

He explained further that Sharp’s triple air-feed paper handling option offers consistent printing and image quality that can handle varieties of paper types and thickness of up to 300gsm. To Aneesh, investors are assured of wide range of Sharp’s affordable and quality multifunction printers such as the MX-3640N, MX-4140N, MX5140N and MX7040N, “other qualities that set Sharp apart from competition are the simplicity of the touch screen option coupled with its robust multi-tasking workflow touch screen display which offers groundbreaking real-time image preview with intuitive flick and tap editing for accurate production of documents, thereby eliminating waste during print production”.

WHERE To Print also gathered that Sharp’s flagship MX-7500N/6500N is a colour print-on-demand powerhouse built for full-scale light production of professional documents. A variety of automatic adjustment functions enable this Multi-Function Printer (MFP) to maintain exceptional print quality on a par with commercial printing. A powerful external Fiery® Colour Print Server with Command WorkStation® software is available for colour-critical environments that require precise management of print jobs. The software can be operated intuitively through the MFP’s user-friendly 15.4-inch colour LCD touchscreen panel – a unique Sharp specialty. On top of that, users can take advantage of flexible document system configurations that cater precisely to their varying needs. Powerful, fast, and highly configurable printers that deliver quality on demand.

On the introduction of Sharp products to Nigeria, Mr. Ravinder Kumar, General Manager, Business Solutions Sharp Middle East and Africa said the growing demand for quality, cost-effective colour printing and in-house print production in Nigeria is one of the cogent reasons Altech SFICO decided to introduce the Pro- digital color press to Nigerian market.

On service and maintenance of the machines, Mr. Balraj – the Country Head of Sharp/Altech SFICO in Nigeria assured that Sharp have trained and continues to train substantial numbers of Nigerians that can be deployed to any part of the country for adequate service support to their customers.
