Scodix SPOT enables commercial printers to digitally recreate the flat varnish look and feel to short-run printed projects, without the time-consuming setup or costly inventory of traditional spot varnish and silk screen printing processes. Working within the Scodix workflow, PSPs can now apply digital spot coating with minimal setup, just one operator, and keep projects in-house, while offering designers greater creativity within variable data printing jobs.

For many Print service providers, Scodix SPOT will convert an outsourced expense into an in-house revenue stream.” The first launched adaptation of Scodix SPOT technology will be the Scodix SPOT 80™, digital coating developed specifically for offset and laminated sheet applications and will be available in the first quarter of 2015 through Scodix distribution and sales channels.
