Roland DG has boosted the digital activities of its Roland Academy to support printers wanting to expand their skills through the lockdown.
Though the Academy has suspended all workshops and practical courses at its Cleveden, Somerset United Kingdom Headquarters and Demo Centre, instead it has launched a series of new online sessions to complement its range of on-demand webinars expected to build skills and knowledge in the industry.
According to Roland DG Academy Manager – Joe Wigzell: “Training is one of those things that we like to put off until we have more time. And now that most of us are stuck at home, it’s the perfect time to build your skills and knowledge.”
Upcoming sessions will cover things like time saving tips; bitmaps and vectors; improving your business; personalisation; and setting up your workshop. The new sessions and training modules will be delivered by best practice videos published every Tuesday offering five tips in five minutes; theory-based webinars and software demos delivered by Wigzell and product trainer Ollie Bishop from their homes; and, every Friday at 11am, ‘Roland Elevenses’ where Wigzell and Bishop will host a Facebook Live session, which are also available on demand. “We talk about everything from application advice to marketing tips, but we’ve also had some great recommendations for Netflix series to watch!,” said Wigzell.
Full details of the live and on demand webinars, videos and Facebook sessions are available on the Roland DG website.
