With the activities of quacks, double taxation, unstable power supply, importation of substandard printing machines and consumables, and lack of adequate backing of proper monitoring and regulation of printing activities in Nigeria, printing is still worthwhile business to venture into.
This was the submission of Mr. Kayode Odusanya – the MD/ CEO of Jema Prints while speaking recently with WHERE To Print recently. He noted that with printers willing and ready to embrace new technologies, trends and with determination to forge ahead irrespective of the challenges bedeviling the industry there was still hope and future for print business. According to him, “despite the bastardization of the industry, printing is still worthwhile and a good prospect for any investor in Nigeria” he assured.
He noted further that though there was job draught that made some printers to act unprofessionally, he advised professional printers not to disturbed or driven out of business but remained focus and relied on their instincts and God’s Grace to survive. “You should also embrace innovation, new technologies and trends to forge ahead” the Jema Prints boss enjoined.
While urging government to provide favourable and conducive business atmosphere for printers and also discourage printing jobs outside the country, the erudite printer assured his valued clients that Jema Prints has just acquired new printing equipment to ensure quality and prompt service.
