In an exclusive interview with Managing Director of Print Academy Consulting Limited – Tony Imomoh, WHERE To Print gathered that the training programme is put together to promote and stimulate print operational standard, improve print processes and creativity as well as ensure good work ethics in the industry. ‘Our aim is to help print owners set standards in their print businesses; educate their team on efficiency; and propel them to gain competitive advantage in the market place which – in the long run – ensures print business growth and sustainability’, explained Imomoh.
Consequently, the Academy has concluded plans to hold an extensive, practical and result-oriented print production and prepress management training with special focus on commercial, newspaper and digital large format print businesses. According to Imomoh whose experience in the industry spans more than a decade with commendable performance on all aspects of print business in the industry – having worked with reputable print suppliers such as Heidelberg and HP; ‘at the end of the training programme, participants will learn among others – salient topics in a practical oriented and intensive sessions such as; how to choose paper stock, select fonts, and specify spot colors. They will also learn from our carefully selected print experts — how to create print layouts in Illustrator and InDesign packages to deliver professional print quality starting from creatives to prepress for digital and conventional presses, or onto toner-based printers, web and sheetfed offset printing presses as well as digital large format printers’.
WHERE To Print further gathered that Print Academy Consulting Limited courses cover topical issues in the graphics and printing industry such as graphics software, including: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator — the entire Adobe Creative Suite — & QuarkXPress, plus courses on key electronic prepress software such as Adobe Acrobat, Enfocus PitStop Professional, Mac OS X, Imposition, Color Management, Soft-proofing, and Troubleshooting Digital Files.
