Print expert and newly inducted President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) who also oversees the affairs of West Africa’s first class security printing company – Megavons (West Africa) Limited – Dr. Rotimi Oladele has been nominated by the Federal Government to the National Conference.
Though Dr. Oladele’s nomination was occasioned by his leadership position of the NIPR, observers believe that he will also represent the interest of the printing industry in general as he is also an Honorary Fellow of Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON).
Therefore as expert in entrepreneurship, security and governance in business – Dr. Oladele is expected to be drafted into some strategic committees of the Confab to resolve burning issues that affect Nigeria’s nationhood such as Committee on Trade and Investment, Committee on Energy, Committee on Public Finance and Revenue Generation, Committee on Immigration, Committee on Foreign Policy and Diaspora Matters. Others are Committee on Environment, Committee on Law, Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Reform, and Committee on Social Welfare amongst others.
It would be recalled that the ongoing 3-month National Conference inaugurated by President Goodluck Jonathan is an opportunity for Nigerians to talk about the basis, rationale, import and nature of their co-existence and the very nature of the national question and our nation-hood.
