WHERE To Print gathered that Dr. Rotimi Oladele’s tested and trusted management and entrepreneurship acumen as well as great achievements as a teacher, author, marketer, public relations practitioner and printer amongst others must have contributed to his overwhelming election as the new president of NIPR.

Having turned around the fortunes of Megavons (West Africa) Limited from a moribund company to the first choice in West Africa for first class security printing at unbeatable quality, Dr. Oladele’s exploits as a tested and trusted management guru from his stints from Longman Nigeria PLC and Academy Press PLC as super salesman and relationship manager respectively, to African Newspapers of Nigeria – publishers of TRIBUNE Titles – as Managing Director/ CEO, were some of the pointers to his overall majority votes by NIPR delegates from across the country.

As one who knows his onions, Dr. Oladele has already laid down a 10-Point Action Plan called ‘Charter of Service’ that is expected to build NIPR on the already laid new foundation of unity. The charter of service include among others; administrative structure that will drive professionalism, competiveness, development and internally generated revenue; design and marketing of sound global and national programme brands to strengthen the Institute and net mega financial rewards; team building, role-assignment and effective coordination all over geo-political zones; membership drive and sound educational programmes that will lead to institutionalized platforms such as monotechnic, study centres and examination centres all over the country.

Dr. Oladele’s tenure as the president of NIPR will also see to effective collaboration with tertiary institutions and educational regulators on critical areas of benefits to NIPR; International collaboration and global repositioning of NIPR; discipline and compliance with NIPR Act; acquisition of befitting physical and corporate assets such as own-built secretariat, automobiles, information technology gadgets, business outfits and subsidiaries; review of constitution, bye-laws and other documentary guides; and lastly; recognition of dead and alive professional doyens, veterans and active players.

Dr. Rotimi Oladele is Fellow to a number of organisations such as Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Institute of Directors (IOD), Institute of Entrepreneurs (IOE), Chartered Institute of Marketing Communications (CIMC), National Institute of Marketing, Nigeria (NIM), and Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON) amongst others. He is presently Senior Part-time Lecturer, Lagos State University MBA Programme; Senior Part-time Lecturer, Babcock University Post Graduate School; and PR and Media Adviser to various NGO’s International Organisations and Corporate outfits.
