Kodak rounded off a highly successful exhibition at Poligrafia 2013 by walking away with two out of the seven prestigious industry awards. The company landed two Gold Medals for its KODAK FLEXCEL NX Plate and KODAK SONORA XP Process Free Plate. Poligrafia is the largest graphic arts trade show in Poland, and attracts delegates from printing companies, advertising and marketing agencies, graphic studios, bookbinding companies, and vendors of print accessories and consumables.
The Gold Medal of MTP is one of the most respected awards in the Polish print market. Awards are given for top-quality products, which have to undergo a thorough assessment by experts representing different areas of the printing industry. Products are evaluated against a range of criteria, including innovation, functionality, modern design, cost effectiveness, environmental impact, and energy and material efficiency.
Award-winning credentials
The KODAK FLEXCEL NX Plates won over the judges with their excellent ink transfer, smooth solids and uniform laydown. These digital flexographic plates enable users to accurately reproduce the sharpest image detail, including reverse printing. FLEXCEL NX Plates are highly versatile, and can print on a wide variety of substrates, including flexible packaging, foil, film, paper, plastic bags, labels and envelopes. They’re also compatible with a wide variety of inks, including water-based, solvent-based, UV-cured and cationic inks. SONORA XP Plates offered productivity, quality, and print capability of mainstream plates but without processors or chemistry, therefore reducing both operational costs and environmental impact while helping users to improve process control and increase efficiency in platemaking.
