Institute of Packaging Nigeria (IOPN) held a Stakeholders Meeting on Saturday 22nd October, 2016 in a bid to empower and refresh the Packaging Industry.

Hosted by Heidelberg Nigeria Limited, the Stakeholders Meeting was on tactics to be adopted by the Institute in launching her to higher ground. In his remarks, Managing Director of Heidelberg Nigeria LTD – Mr. Jakob Bejer advised the Institute on the need to invite and embrace foreign investors in the packaging industry especially the Indians and the Lebanese who form a larger percentage of top Packaging Companies in Nigeria.

Stakeholders present were amongst others – representatives from the Federal Institute of Industrial Research (FIIRO), SPC LTD, Promasidor, Nestle Nigeria PLC and NUMBERS CMYK LTD (publisher of WHERE To Print magazine) – who believe improved communication, updated database coupled with well defined aims and objectives and an appointed advocacy (mouth-piece) will help promote the industry. Finally, a Committee was adopted and so appointed – consisting of fresh bloods to meet the set objectives of the Institute.
