One of Nigeria’s foremost equipment manufacturers and suppliers of consumables for the graphic industry – Heidelberg Nigeria Limited has announced Board Management changes that will see erstwhile Managing Director – Mr. Jakob Bejer elevated to the position of Chairman, Board of Directors while hitherto Chief Financial Controller – Mr. Godwin Ogwilo has been promoted as the new Managing Director effective 1st July 2017.
In an industry dedicated press conference recently, these management changes according to Heidelberg Nigeria Management is aimed at moving the company to its next phase of innovation and growth. “We’re convinced that this change would strengthen Heidelberg Nigeria Limited going forward since Mr. Godwin Ogwilo is extremely respected in the Graphics Industry and has over 18 years of detailed knowledge of the industry. Mr. Ogwilo is burning to implement new ideas that will be beneficial to our loyal clients, while developing staff to the next level of excellence to our customers”.
On the other hand, WHERE To Print gathered that Mr. Jakob Bejer will focus fully on supervisory functions, both in and outside Nigeria, thus adding even more international touch and professionalism to the organization. As Chairman, Mr. Bejer will continue to remain actively engaged with Heidelberg Nigeria Limited, its partners, and customers as well as supporting Mr. Ogwilo in his new role as Managing Director.
Also, its experienced team of management to support the new Managing Director includes: Mr. John Onuegbulem, Sales Manager – New & Used Equipment; Mr. Charles Ogbebor, Customer Service Manager; Mr. Adedayo Fakuade, Head of Consumables; Mr. Kabiru Bilesanmi, Accounts Manager and Mr. John Agba, Head of Admin/ Human Resources.
It could be recalled that Mr. Bejer had been Managing Director of Heidelberg Nigeria Limited for 16 years while Mr. Ogwilo had been the Chief Financial Officer since 1999 with both contributing immensely to the overall growth of the Nigerian graphics industry through its prepress, press and postpress equipment supply as well as spare parts and consumables supply for print and packaging businesses while ensuring constant and uninterrupted after-sales service apart from significantly contributing to manpower development in the industry through series of workshop and training programmes.
