The Lagos State Printing Corporation (LSPC) made a significant landmark in the history of Nigeria Printing Industry on May 10th 2017 when the State Governor – Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode commissioned the N4 Billion Naira worth of hi-tech equipment as part of efforts to reposition the firm for effective and unrivaled performance while generating revenue for the State.
Speaking at the official launch, the Governor who was represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Strategy – Mr. Steve Ayorinde noted that the new equipment will guarantee the corporation takes its rightful position as one of the leading printing corporations across the continent; “today, we have repositioned Lagos State Printing Corporation with the goal of joining the league of well-respected national and global players in the printing industry. You now have at your disposal, a facility that will guarantee top quality output. You are therefore to deploy appropriate human capital in terms of skills, attitude and professionalism in discharge of your duties”, enjoins Governor Ambode to staff of the corporation noting that they needed to justify the huge investment the Government made on the Corporation by working hard with better performance to generate revenue as well as maintain the machines for posterity.
With the installation of Kodak – NexPress Direct Imaging machine, KBA Rapida 105, 5 Colour machine, Heidelberg Speedmaster 52+NP machine, Bielomatik – Exercise Book Making machine, Morgana Numbering machine, Eurobind 1300 – Perfect Binding machine, Sharp Direct Imaging machine among other hi-tech equipment, the General Manager of LSPC – Mr. Sakirudeen Odusanya in his speech while distinguishing the equipment as the latest in the industry and some of the best in the country assured visitors that there was no aspect of printing that the corporation cannot handle now with the new acquisition.
“Our sincere thanks go to the Ambode Administration for addressing issues in LSPC. I want to assure you all that we are capable of handling all forms of printing better and best with our new acquisition. I also thank all our equipment suppliers such as Kodak, Heidelberg, KBA, Sharp etc. for their unflinching support in putting our press in good working condition”, Mr. Odusanya appreciated while urging all Ministries, Agencies, Departments and Corporate organizations to make the outfit their One-stop-shop for all their printing needs, stressing that the era when the corporation could only handle selected printing works was over.
