The European Rotogravure Association (ERA) has announced the appointment of Dr. Marius Wittke, Director of Rotogravure at Windmöller & Hölscher, to the ERA Board. His appointment was confirmed during the 89th Management Meeting, held as part of ERA’s International Gravure Days from October 23 to 25 in Porto, Portugal.
Reflecting on his new role, Dr. Wittke remarked, “I was immediately impressed by the open and familiar exchange within the industry about the challenges of gravure printing in Europe, as such a culture within an industry is rare. Thanks to the ERA, I’ve had many inspiring encounters with fellow gravure enthusiasts and have already initiated a few exciting projects.”

The ERA board is confident that Dr. Wittke, with his extensive experience in the printing industry, will be a valuable asset to advancing the association’s objectives and supporting its initiatives.
Additionally, Christoph Müller of König & Bauer and Dr. Robert Fitzka of Sun Chemicals were both re-elected to the ERA Board for another three-year term. Their continued leadership promises to further strengthen the association’s mission and impact.
Since its foundation in 1956, the European Rotogravure Association (E.R.A.) has developed into the leading international organization of the gravure industry. Its membership includes companies from the packaging, publication and decorative printing sectors as well as associated industries such as paper and ink makers, printing and finishing equipment manufacturers, and leading cylinder engravers.
