Not resting on its statutory role in educating printers across the country on CIPPON Act No. 24 of 2007 and its activities, Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON) is holding series of sensitization programmes for printers across the country.

WHERE To Print gathered that the sensitization is also to afford printers a one-on-one interactive session with CIPPON Council Members on the best way to grow the industry. In one of the programmes, CIPPON President/ Chairman-in-Council, Mr. Wahab A. O. Muhammed Lawal called on printers to see the Institute as their baby that must be nurtured for sustainable growth and development of the printing industry. Other Council Members at the programme called on printers to work with the Institute to put a stop to activities of quacks.

In a related development, CIPPON is partnering with Henegg Partners and Clear Edge Professional Services to train printers on personal effectiveness, management strategy, tax and strategic financial accounting for sustainable print business. While receiving Mr. Tope Ajayi and Mr. Femi Adigun both of Henegg Partners and Clear Edge Professional Services respectively to CIPPON secretariat, Mr. Lawal enjoined printers to take advantage of the unique training programmes from Henegg Partners and Clear Edge Professional Services to improve their efficiency, service quality and profitability – “you don’t have to wait before you have money before you know how to keep it. Tax and proper account keeping will help you to grow your print business” he advised.

In his remarks, Tope Ajayi of Henegg Partners said the training programmes are uniquely created to address issues like personnel effectiveness and management efficiency while Femi Adigun of Clear Edge Professional Services noted that printers would be paying less taxation to the government only when they are knowledgeable on tax matters.

CIPPON Council Member – Mr. Charles Adaramoye while expressing gratitude of the Institute to Henegg Partners and Clear Edge Professional Services to partner with CIPPON in improving printers performance and efficiency for sustainable print business also called on other professional consulting firms to partner with the Institute to aid print business growth and development of the printing industry.
