On Friday the 26th of July 2013, Zanogen Industrial Knives & Blades was invited to the unveiling of the heaviest gear that SKS Gear Specialists have ever gearcut.
Zanogen Industrial Knives & Blades supplied the plates that were used in the set-up of this gear. The gear consists of 140 teeth, has a 4.5” circular pitch, 5157.25 outside diameter, 330 face width and is approximately 6.5 tons. Sandra Law, Director at SKS Gear Specialists, announced, “We are all so proud of this achievement, now that we have the tools to hold a gear of this weight, we are looking forward to future opportunities.”
