Just before BART COIGNAU left the hall of Protea Leadway Hotel venue of this Year’s AGFA 2013 FREE PLATE TRAINING, WHERE To Print caught up with him to know more about the amiable plate specialist. Below is excerpt:

WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT THE INTEREST LEVEL OF THE PARTCIPANTS AT THE TRAINING TODAY?
The interest level is quite high, though the participants were a bit reserved. I think it could be more fun but on the other hand, the interaction was strictly professional. I mean the interaction was basically on their business and the future of their various organisations. In fact, the participants at this AGFA CTP PLATE Training are the most serious-minded group of businessmen I have ever been privileged to meet.

WHAT MAKES A PRINTING COMPANY IMPOSSIBLE TO REPLACE?

HOW CAN YOU NOW ASSESS PRINTING INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA?
With the group of people available for today’s lecture, I can say Nigeria printing industry is made up of people with good business sense and fighting spirit for quality and best business practices in the print market. Talking about the printing industry, Nigeria is a booming market with good things to come but I think the electricity could be more stable. I like it here. It’s a completely different world on its own.

WHAT IS THE EDGE AGFA HAS OVER OTHER CTP MANUFACTURERS?
Agfa have complete portfolio. We are market leader in newspaper print and any types of print covering all print business as a whole. Though we have some champion who having been on it before us but we are now a formidable force to be reckoned with in terms of Research and Development, Customer Service and in my area – manufacturing top-class computer to plate machines and plates. All our products are sustainable, most reliable, user’s friendly, high quality with regards to resolution and ecology. At Agfa, we develop our technology with two major things in mind – which are sustainability and ecology. Again, our products are manufactured to help our customers achieve or maximise profit in their businesses.

CAN YOU SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH AGFA WITH US?
Agfa is a very big company and a reference point in the print market. Agfa is made up of very friendly people. In fact we are one of the global company that people actually like because we don’t base the quality of output on profit alone but satisfying our customers. It is a wide network, global organisation run with openness and friendliness.
