Drupa organiser & Messe Düsseldorf representative in Nigeria – Trade Fair Services Limited and Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON) have concluded arrangement to work together in a bid to ensure all print stakeholders in Nigeria benefit from attending this year’s edition of world’s biggest trade fair for printing and media industries – drupa 2016.
During a consultative meeting at CIPPON National Secretariat in Lagos, Trade Fair Services Limited Manager – Mr. Oliver Chukwu intimated CIPPON Council Members on Nigeria Printers’ benefits of attending drupa 2016 to grow their print businesses. He noted that as the ‘Olympic of Printing’, drupa serves as the ultimate avenue to learn, network and negotiate with print suppliers and colleagues in the industry, “everybody that matters in the industry will be at drupa – it is therefore important that Nigeria Printers are not left out. That is why we are creating awareness and partnering (with CIPPON) to ensure the target market in Nigeria attends drupa 2016” explained Mr. Chukwu.
Highlighting the new business opportunities at drupa 2016, Mr. Chukwu explained that this year’s drupa is premised on six focal areas of functional printing, 3D printing, green printing, multichannel, packaging production and print. He also presented value-added services being offered by Trade Fair Services Limited in arranging group travel for Nigeria participants that include registration of participants, assistance in visa processing, flight arrangement, hotel accommodation/ transfers and dedicated workshop. Mr. Oliver Chukwu also enlightened CIPPON on new visa processing procedure by the German embassy in Nigeria as he advised that Nigeria Printers should register early for the show in order to avoid last minute rush with associated challenges.
In his response, CIPPON President/ Chairman-In-Council, Mr. Wahab A. O. Muhammed Lawal while appreciating drupa organiser & Messe Düsseldorf representative in Nigeria – Trade Fair Services Limited noted that it is through partnership that print businesses, the industry and the economies of both Nigeria and Germany will develop. He promised that CIPPON will do all it could to ensure large presence of Printers from Nigeria attend drupa 2016.
In their remarks, CIPPON Registrar/ Secretary – Mallam Ndagi Abubakar Printers assured mass publicity of drupa 2016 to all nooks and crannies of Nigeria through CIPPON affiliations, associates and printing schools while CIPPON Council Member – Mr. Charles Adaramoye promised speedy registration of Nigeria Printers to drupa 2016.
