Ricoh has launched a new series of digital colour cut-sheet presses – the Pro C5200 series comprises the Ricoh Pro C5200s and Ricoh Pro C5210s which are mainly for the use of commercial printers producing between 10,000 and 100,000 impressions a month.
The two printers run at maximum speeds of 65ppm and 80ppm respectively, both printing at a maximum resolution of 1,200 x 4,800dpi. Ricoh machine image quality is comparable to the output from its flagship digital colour cut-sheet presses.
Using an EFI Fiery digital front-end, they can take a range of media up to 360gsm and both machines have an embedded paper library to support operators. They have a capacity of 8,250 sheets and take long sheets of up to 1,300x330mm.
For booklet production, the series also comes with the optional addition of a Plockmatic cover interposer and booklet finisher with saddle stitching and folding capabilities.
