Kidnapping occasioned by unemployment and persistent hardship is becoming so rampant in the Nigerian society as several cases of this criminal act is being reported daily with huge ransoms requested by perpetrators of such act.
PrintMagic boss and visionary youth leader – Mrs. Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji recently escaped from the shackles of kidnapers on the 14th of December 2016 upon her arrival in Lagos from the United States around 2:50am at the Murtala Muhammed Airport.
According to her FaceBook page, some kidnappers on a bike snatched her where she parked to make shopping while she was in the car and drove her off but she was smart enough to jump out of the car and called the police. Policemen responded swiftly, foiled the kidnap bid and recovered the car.
While recounting her experience on her Social Media page, Arise Network Founder also expressed her profound gratitude to God and the police authority: “this is my Face of Victory. It could have been an Obituary but MERCY SAID NO. My middle name is now KOSEE’GBE. The Criminals have been apprehended and the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni has taken up the Case. Since I arrived in Nigeria, it’s been one death or kidnap or sordid story per day. Something has to change. Things just have to change. I was few inches away from possible Death. Nigeria will be great again. For once, I am deeply proud of THE NIGERIAN POLICE.” Mrs Akerele-Ogunsiji concluded.
