Powder Horn Press recently replaced two older competitive digital presses with Heidelberg’s Versafire CP digital printing machine. Within two months of its installation, the Massachusetts-based company produced over half a million copies, which would have taken over 6 months to produce on their two older machines.

“Before, we were lucky if we could get 30,000 copies out of our machines before a serious service call was needed,” said Chip Anderson, Owner. “The Versafire CP just plows through work on a daily basis. We needed something faster and more reliable — this machine is performing up to standard.”

The new digital press runs alongside two existing Speedmaster SM 52 presses. With maximum speeds of 130 pages-per-minute, the Versafire CP produces cost-effective color print jobs without sacrificing offset quality or limiting application range.
