As part of Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) efforts in engaging with the governments at all levels, the President – Mr. Gabriel Idahosa FCA has led other members of the leadership of the Chamber on a courtesy visit to the Vice President of Nigeria – Senator Kashim Shetima, GCON.
The Chamber which represents the opinion of the business community on matters affecting trade, industry, commerce and agriculture met with Senator Shetima, GCON to further its advocacy on conducive environment and policies for businesses to thrive in the country.
Founded in 1888, WHERE To Print gathers that the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI for short) is the Premier Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria. It was incorporated in 1950 as a non-profit making organization, Limited by Guarantee under the Companies Act of 1948. It is the foremost private sector group in Nigeria with over 2, 000 corporate members. It also accounts for an estimated 60% of industrial output, 65% of general commerce and 75% financial services in the country. The primary objective of the Chamber is to promote, support or oppose legislative or other measures affecting trade, industry, commerce and agriculture. Over the past thirteen decades, LCCI has remained the leading voice of the private sector through its sustained public policy advocacy, stakeholders’ engagement and trade promotion activities.
