In a run-up to the drupa 2016 trade show, Heidelberg Nigeria Limited hosted a cross-section of printing industry stakeholders in Nigeria to pre-drupa 2016 briefing where the ‘Simply Smart’ concept to be unveiled at the show from the 31st of May 2016 in Düsseldorf, Germany was explained.
WHERE To Print gathered that Heidelberg’s focus at drupa 2016 would be the interaction of automation and networked intelligence, the development of customized solutions to increase printer’s performance, personalised information, support, and e-commerce solutions. According to Heidelberg Nigeria Managing Director – Mr. Jakob Bejer,” ‘Simply Smart’ is more than just a motto. It is the principle we apply to the development of solutions designed to make handling processes and technologies as easy as possible. Bejer also used the occasion to invite participants to a ‘fully loaded’ Heidelberg Print Media Centers in Heidelberg on Saturday – the 4th of June 2016. For the first time, simultaneously in the two Print Media Centres in Wiesloch-Walldorf Germany participants will experience drupa 2016 at two locations in Wiesloch-Walldorf like at the tradeshow. “At our Wiesloch-Walldorf factory; our Print Media Centres for packaging, label, and commercial printing will show our full portfolio for digital and offset printing, postpress, software, services and consumables in over 10, 000m2. Many products will be showcased such as the Very Large Format (VLF) presses or the new Anicolor technology for small and medium format. We will also be showcasing our digital innovations – Primefire 106 and Gallus Labelfire 340 plus the next generation Speedmaster series with the new Prinect Press Centre XL 2”.
In a related development, Heidelberg’s Manager for Press/ Post-press – Mr. John Onuegbulem as well as Financial Controller – Mr. Godwin Ogwilo enjoined Nigeria visitors to drupa to systematically plan their itinerary in order to get the best value from the show. They also invited Nigeria visitors to Heidelberg’s Hall 1 to watch live presentations on key topics and machineries; chat with Heidelberg experts; discuss technical details, and discover practical information about the performance potential of Heidelberg’s products and applications. WHERE To Print gathered that Heidelberg Nigeria trio of Jakob Bejer, John Onuegbulem and Godwin Ogwilo will be physically present at Heidelberg Hall 1 to chat with customers, discuss technical and financial details on Heidelberg’s smart print applications including cooperating partners products in the same hall.
Bejer summed up the parley by enjoining Nigeria participants interested in the Saturday June 4th one-day free factory visit to come to Heidelberg’s Hall 1 (South Entrance) Bus Stop Pickup Point on time at 6:45am for 7am departure time – so as not to miss their bus.
