Out to change the narratives of import dependence of paper and pulp in Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPPON), the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade & Investment, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) and Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) plan to host the first Nigeria International Pulp and Paper Summit.
With the them: “Bridging The Gap In Local Pulp And Paper Production in Nigeria”, the event is scheduled to take place at Sheraton Hotel Abuja from 17th to 19th of October 2022 as the international paper and pulp summit is set out to:
- To showcase the potentials along the paper and pulp value chain as a viable complement to agriculture in terms of employment generation, wealth creation and National development.
- To serve as a point of convergence for stakeholders in the paper and pulp value chain in Nigeria and to fashion a holistic approach to understanding the challenges of the value chain and to proffer their resolutions.
- To showcase the viability of the paper and pulp value chain and the advantage of linking into the Government/Country backward integration policy.
- To create a “stakeholders“ all-inclusive policy that will make growth and investment possible along the paper and pulp value chain.
- To attract international players/foreign direct investment
- To understand paper and pulp production and investments opportunities.
