The debut ProPaper Nigeria 2026 (June 23 to 25, 2026) at the Landmark Centre wrapped up with a successful start, proving that Nigeria, nay West Africa, is rapidly shifting from a consumer market into a manufacturing powerhouse. With the regional tissue and hygiene paper sector exploding toward an $8.96 billion valuation, WHERE To Print gathers that ProPaper Nigeria 2026 was not just a trade show—it was a glimpse into the future of West African industrial supply chains.
This premiere event was declared open by Mr. Tope Fasua, the Special Adviser to the President on Economic Affairs. He delivered the Federal Government’s commendation to Jeen Joshua-led Verifair Business Events, the organisers, emphasizing the government’s support for paper products as durable alternatives to help curb environmental challenges associated with plastics.
Joining Mr. Fasua at the opening was Princess ‘Layo Bakare-Okeowo, the Managing Director and CEO of FAE Limited and Vice President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). During the opening ceremony, she famously declared paper as “the new gold”. Amidst the multimillion-dollar investment potential of paper, she also strongly urged Nigerian entrepreneurs and investors to look beyond traditional sectors and aggressively explore the massive financial and manufacturing opportunities within the local paper production and packaging industries.
The three-day international trade show served as a major convergence point for local and international industry players to explore a rapidly growing regional market. WHERE To Print magazine was on the ground to capture the core shifts redefining our industry and provide a quick breakdown of what went down:
