With the recent convocation of discerning women in the print ecosystem in Lagos – Nigeria, GirlsWhoPrint Africa, through its PrintHerCon mission, is again driving leadership development, technical knowledge, and collaboration as part of its continental agenda to spotlight female talent, build community, expand networks, and ignite the visibility women need to thrive in print and allied sectors.

The event, which took place on November 13, 2025, in Lagos, had successful entrepreneurs as Keynote Speakers, such as Patricia Ojora (CEO, PromoPrint Ventures LTD) and Tonya Osato-Lawani (Founder, SEAL Group) shared their experiences on the topic: The Future of Print & The Women Leading It: How Women are Reshaping the Industry.

Sharing their thoughts with a cross section of women in print across the print ecosystem in Lagos on what it means to lead with innovation, impact, and purpose across Africa’s print, manufacturing, and business landscapes, the duo believed that when women lead with courage, creativity, and conviction, industries shift and legacies are built. Their powerful insights also inspired participants to action and not just take up space, but to own it. Not only that, in a Panel Discussion on the theme: Women Leadership, Capital, Funding & Scale: How to Fund, Run, and Grow Your Print Business, strategic insights on growing and scaling up businesses from industry veterans made up of the following Panelists; Adeyinka Opasanya (Founder, PrintHeroes), Kiki Okewale (CEO, Fabrics Printing Global), Dr. Femi Adekoya (CEO, Print Haven), and Zainab Babatunde (Creative Director, Ziamak Prints & Gifts), gave time-tested tips on funding, running, and growing print business in a volatile environment like Nigeria.

According to the Convener, Ayanfeoluwa Ibitoye (Regional Founding Director, Girls Who Print Africa (GWPA), the one-day yearly PrintHerCon would also be replicated across the print industry in Africa; “PrintHerCon is an annual, continuous experience. We have no intention of stopping. Our dream is to replicate this across East, West, North, Central, and Southern Africa. We are already nurturing relationships with country ambassadors, industry stakeholders, and print associations who will help us launch localized editions in other African nations”.
