From November 2022, Epson will construct a new 3,700sqm factory floor that will triple its current printhead production capacity.
Due for completion in December 2023, Epson said the site will be the new inkjet printhead factory at the group’s Akita Epson Corporation site in Japan.
In a statement made available to the press, Epson said the new factory which will produce its PrecisionCore MicroTFP printheads for high-capacity ink tank and business inkjet printers which demand in developed countries had grown over the years will ““strengthen its product lineup and expand printhead sales to third parties, with a view to increasing the supply of inkjet printers equipped with PrecisionCore MicroTFP printheads”.
